Day-to-day responsibilities?
Deliver and pick up customers in a prompt and polite manner
Complete a log at the time of delivery and request customer signature
Clean the van each night and turn in all paperwork and keys to the service manager
Help maintain the professional appearance of the service department and the courtesy van
Arrange to have van washed when necessary
Be responsible for the basic maintenance of the van; check oil with each fill-up and get annual safety inspections
Secure van on premises before leaving for the day
Assist with service write-ups and tagging of customer cars and trucks
Remove vehicle protective coverings and ID tags prior to returning completed vehicle to customer
Inspect vehicles for stains, debris and damages before returning the vehicle to the customer, and report any damage immediately
Transport customers and dealership personnel as needed
Perform deliveries as required
Clean interior and exterior of new and used vehicles
Keep vehicle lot neat and orderly, moving units as directed and in accordance with dealership display standards
Return vehicle keys to the appropriate service consultant
Pick up vehicles from and deliver vehicles to storage
Pick up parts from the Parts Department
Test batteries of customer vehicles in service drive
Maintains building and ground as needed
Assist with shop clean-up and deliveries when needed
What are the requirements for this job?

Skilled technicians are in high demand. So to keep a good service tech, you have to treat them right. Here, you’ll work alongside some of the best in the business. You’ll also be responsible for diagnosing and repairing client and dealership vehicles while maintaining a positive relationship with clients who return with unsatisfactory work. We run an honest shop and need honest, hard-working techs. Only those who value integrity and ethics need apply.
Job Responsibilities
Examine and diagnose vehicles
Discuss repairs with shop foreman or service advisor
Communicate additional service requests to service advisor
Plan work procedures in cooperation with shop foreman
Provide labor time estimates to service advisor
Monitor repair time and update service advisor regularly
Maintain strict adherence to dealership policies on vehicle care and operation
Complete story and/or documentation for client repairs
Assist in mentoring technician trainees
Attend company and factory training
Keep current with factory technical bulletins
Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations (such as disposal of hazardous waste)
